Today’s Intention ~ I am grateful.
Meet Miss Liz. She is the hardworking friendly lunch aide and crossing guard at elementary school of my boyfriend’s son Gregory. This mother of three daughters is always concerned about the children’s safety and was surprised by my gesture. She showed her appreciation with a large smile.
According to Gregory, “Miss Liz is one of the nicest lunch aides! She is always happy and helps the children at the school.”
I wanted to involve Gregory in the project so I asked him why he was grateful for Miss Liz. He said, “Miss Liz cares for us, helps us when we need and is nice.”
She will be giving the money to the humanitarian efforts to help Japan. She is so grateful for all that she has: food, clothing , shelter and feels it’s important to give back to people who have far less, especially the people of Japan.
I’m glad that today I was able to get a child involved in helping me give to someone; especially someone who offers so much help and support to children.
Today will be the last day that I will share my journey with you. I am so grateful for having the opportunity to get involved in the Year of Giving!
Thank you for choosing someone who would obviously not be well off. I think it’s so important to give to people to whom the money will make a difference. How generous of this lady, who surely doesn’t earn much at all, to give her money to help those in Japan who are suffering. Thank you for your generosity in giving this week.
I think you did such a good job! Thank you for giving and sharing it with us too! 🙂
I loved the experience this week and truly meant amazing people. Carl ended up being one of the most popular people I gave to when I shared the post on my facebook page because people recognized him from working at Target. He had however lost his job too.
I think people who much and have little still can both receive soooo much from the giving. What I felt is the energy of the money is not the true value of the program but rather the value for me atleast was in sharing a connection with others, opening your heart and giving your time and energy to say I “value” YOU & YOUR STORY 🙂 I sometimes feel our world gets caught up on counting pennies and dollars, I believe what really counts is CHANGE
WE CAN ALL CREATE CHANGE & PROMOTE KINDNESS IN OUR WORLD ON SOOOO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS OTHER THAN GIVING MONEY… WE CAN GIVE FROM THE HEART EVERYDAY AND I BELIEVE THAT’S WHERE THE GREATEST TREASURE CAN BE FOUND AND SHARED…THE TREASURES FOUND WITHIN THE HEART 🙂 SOOOO GIVE BIG PEOPLE IN ALL KINDS OF WAYS. INVEST IN KINDNESS TODAY 🙂
Finding money! That is so great. Maybe the universe is helping you with your effort to do this!
I do believe so 🙂 Give * Recieve * Give * Recieve
It’s like one continuous circle “O” It never stops 😀
It is always nice to learn what the person will do with the $10. And even nicer to learn they will donate to someone else.
